Golf Lessons – Sydney & Canberra

Golf Lessons Sydney Canberra

Considering golf lessons in Sydney or Canberra? Maybe you’re unsure where to start or what type of lessons are best for you. In this blog I run through the different types of golf lessons available so you can make the right decision in achieving your golf goals.

A Golf Coach that is an accredited member of the Professional Golfer’s Association (PGA) Of Australia (thankfully - I am one of them) will improve your game quality and lower your scores. I can help identify areas of improvement in your golf swing, correct them and help you get a better understanding of the game. Professional golf lessons can also help improve your putting skills, picking up on things that you wouldn’t notice. An asymmetry between your shoulders and the putter head or inconsistencies in your address, for example.

Golf lessons can also help you to get the right equipment, the right exercise and the right mindset – all of which are essential if you want to play better golf.

Individual Lessons

These lessons are ideal for those who want one on one tuition. In these sessions I can help you identify your strengths & weaknesses and show you where there is room for improvement. Because they are tailored to suit your needs, we can work on areas you might not be aware of to help improve your handicap and play better golf.

I offer both 30 minute and 60 minute lessons in multiple locations across Sydney & Canberra. You can choose to book a single, one off lesson or a package of lessons, depending on how serious you are about improving your game.

Duo Lessons

Similar to individual lessons, these sessions are for 2 or 3 people. Bring a friend or colleague and learn together for a more cost-effective option. Ideal for couples or people who enjoy learning in small groups, I will work with each of you to identify areas for growth.

These golf lessons are available in 30 and 60 minute durations and you can buy single sessions, 5 class packs and 10 class packs.

Short Game Group Clinics

The term short game relates to golf shots that are made when the golfer is on or near the green. Generally speaking, shots made within 100 yards are considered to be part of the short game.

My short game group clinics are structured programs that cover the fundamentals of playing the short game. A great way to meet new people, these sessions offer maximum value for money in a relatively small group (between 3-8 people).

On Course Playing Lessons & Clinics

As the name suggests, these sessions are played on the course and like a standard game of golf. Learning this way adds an element of competitive pressure, helping you develop skills such as course management and mental routines.

The clinics are priced depending on the number of players and they usually run for 90 minutes (but can be suited to an individual’s preference).

On-course lessons allow you the option of playing either by the number of holes (9 or 18) OR by duration (60 minutes of 90 minutes). You can play individually or split the cost and play in a group of up to 4 people.

Junior Golf

Junior golf lessons are specifically designed for players under the age of 15. Choose to learn one-on-one or with another player, ideal for friends or siblings who would like to learn golf together. Junior golf lessons make fabulous gifts for children as they encourage them to get outside and get active!
